OutDaughtered: Danielle Talks About Grandma Mimi’s Dark Side That TLC Hid From People!
OutDaughtered has been such a family-friendly show. Eversince it debuted on TV, fans have never seen a controversial moment or a scandal. It has always been about Adam, Danielle and their six lovely daughters out of which five are quints and one is a teenager. It’s not easy holding down the fort but they do it with ease. Over the years, many extended family members had also helped them; one of them was Grandma Mimi.
But in the past few years, she completely disappeared from the show. Viewers wondered where she was. Many predict Grandma Mimi got into a brawl with the Busbys, but they decided not to feature her on the show. Well, Danielle and Adam finally opened up about these questions on their new podcast and hinted at Grandma Mimi’s dark side! What did they say?
OutDaughtered: Danielle Addresses Difficulty In Opening Up About Grandma Mimi
Danielle and Adam have gotten together to start their brand-new podcast. They have said many times through their Instagram that their show OutDaughtered doesn’t always cover everything, and viewers form misconceptions. Hence, the name of their audio show is “More Than Reality.” In the new episode, Danielle addresses trivial questions about Grandma Mimi’s disappearance.
The reality TV star said that it was hard trying to tell people the truth while also being respectful of the family. So, Danielle was struggling with that aspect. Yet, she wanted to let viewers know what had happened between her family and Grandma Mimi. Everyone loved watching her on screens until she disappeared from the episodes! Where did she go?!
OutDaughtered: Danielle Admits Things With Grandma Fell Apart Because Of Her Dark Side!?
As mentioned before, Adam and Danielle began their podcast to give OutDaughtered fans a glimpse into their raw and authentic side. They believe when they are filming for the show, a lot gets pushed under the rug. So, they started their audio show with the intention of giving unfiltered account to things. One of them included discussing where Grandma Mimi was.
Longtime viewers must remember how Grandma Mimi, i.e., Michelle Theriot, was in trouble in 2021 for a DUI charge. Many felt it hurt the show’s reputation, so TLC may have fired her. Well, without revealing many things, Danielle said that people saw Mimi as a fun-loving, silly, crazy person. She and Adam admitted that Mimi was all those things. But there was also an unreliable side to her.
Well, their show never really covered Grandma Mimi’s unpredictable side. So, because of that, the family decided it would be best for her not to appear in OutDaughtered anymore. But if there was a specific incident or the DUI case that triggered Adam and Danielle to take a step, fans don’t really know. The couple didn’t share this much.
Well, some viewers respected them for opening up about this. But there are some who think Adam and Danielle should have made more efforts to explain themselves better.
