After all the drama, Kobe disinvited his friends from their marriage. Things eventually fell into place by the end of their Cameroon trip. However, Valery’s opinion didn’t change much about his friend’s wife. Now, it seems that Emily gave up on her husband’s wish to name their son after his best friend’s name.

90 Day Fiance star Emily Bieberly didn’t have a very good experience with Kobe’s friends. The latter’s friends criticized him for marrying an American woman. They wanted Emily to behave like a traditional Cameroonian wife. Unfortunately, things went ugly between Emily and her husband’s friends. Kobe has always been very close to his friends.

He treated his best friend, Valery, like a brother. Now, it seems that the TLC star wanted to name his son after his best friend. Recently, Emily revealed how much she argued with her husband for their son’s name. They were already parents of two kids, Scarlet and Koban. The TLC star noted that her husband was ready to name their son Atem.

However, she wasn’t on board with the idea and fought with him about it. Kobe explained that he had the name Atem on his mind for years because he wanted to honor Valery’s family. As per ET, he was grateful to his friend’s family for letting him stay with them. He said, “Like almost like 10 years ago I’m like, I’m gonna name one of my sons just to say thank you guys.”

Moreover, Emily agreed to name their son Atem after finding out it was a baby boy. She stated, “I was like, OK, the baby was conceived in Cameroon, so we wanted a Cameroonian name, so it all kind of laid in place.” Further, the TLC star explained that she had been on good terms with Valery since their traditional wedding.
